Nigel Bottrill

Business Development

Nigel has over 25 years’ experience working within banking, specialising in trade and customer sales finance. He is a seasoned veteran, having started his career in NatWest before holding a number of senior positions at Bank of Boston later Citibank, where he spent 17 years.


During this time, he has been instrumental in developing a number of client facing businesses in EMEA and globally. His latest position was Global Head of Sales Finance Origination at Citi. Throughout this time, he has shown consistent understanding of client needs and developed tailor-made solutions to meet them.


Nigel holds an MBA from Exeter University.

David Hicks

David has more than 20 years’ experience supporting global manufacturers and their regional distribution partners with payables and receivables-based trade finance programs to facilitate sales growth.


He has held senior global client and origination roles with Deutsche Bank, IBM Global Financing, Macquarie Bank and platform-based FinTechs including start-ups.


In managing trade finance relationships with worldwide technology vendors and leading EMEA and AP distributors, David has developed a sound understanding of their sales growth, credit risk and working capital requirements and in recent years extended the focus to include a broader range of channel-based sectors.​

Stuart Duckett

Director Business Development


Stuart has substantial experience in both corporate and financial institutions trade finance origination.


He began his career in a commodity trading house but has since spent the last decade specialising in trade finance sales.


He has managed international portfolios across various industries such as Oil and Gas, Technology, Media, Telecoms, Automotive, Services, Industrials and Aerospace and was a Director at both Lloyds and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Sameer Sehgal

Sameer is a veteran banker with almost 22 years’ worldwide experience and is recognised as one of the seniors in the Global Trade Finance banking community. He helped establish both Citi’s Trade business in India & the Middle East/North Africa and the SME and commercial banking business for Citi India. Sameer has held several senior roles at Bank of America and Citi both locally in-country and regionally.


Most recently, Sameer headed Citi’s trade business in EMEA, during which time Citi became the largest trade bank in EMEA. He's been a Board member and speaker on various Trade committees and forums.


Sameer is a Wharton Business School, Faculty of Management Studies (Delhi) and Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur alumni.

Brendan Herley

Business Development, Americas


Brendan has over 25 years' experience in trade finance and syndicated loans having previously worked in 2 large commercial banks (Wells Fargo and Standard Chartered), a forfaiting house (London Forfaiting) and a web-based startup (ITFex). Having begun his career as a credit manager focused on the former Soviet Union, Brendan has since held marketing roles (assisting US corporates with export sales), loan trading and distribution roles (specialised on Latin America) and no business development.

He is also well known in the US trade finance community for spearheading ATFA's (now ITFA Americas) growth for many years.

Brendan holds a Master's degree in International Relations from SOAS and a Bachelor's degree in Economics & Geography from UCL.

Alistair Anderson

MD Business Development, Americas


Alistair has 15 years' experience working in corporate and investment banking across EMEA and North America. He started his corporate banking career at MUFG UFJ and went on to work for global institutions such as Royal Bank of Scotland and Credit Agricole CIB.

Advising clients across healthcare and general industrials, Alistair has always focused on understanding the needs of his clients in order to offer the best financial advice.

Alistair holds a Bachelor in Business Management from Exeter University.

Charlotte Hewitt

Communications


Charlotte has over 10 years’ experience in sales, marketing and communications with companies primarily in the financial and trading sectors. Her roles have taken her to London, Geneva, and Sao Paolo, where she was responsible for new business, marketing, stakeholder communication and investor relations.


Her initial commodities sales role anchored her approach to communications in supporting commercial business objectives. She ties this with creatively making the businesses she works with ‘shine’ through mediums such as social media, websites, support materials and newsletters.


She holds a degree in Languages from King’s College London and is a Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) Accredited Practitioner.
